Dr Clare Stainthorp is a Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellow at Queen Mary, University of London. Her research currently focuses on nineteenth-century atheist, secular, and agnostic movements and the associated periodical press, and she has wider interests in Victorian poetry, the intersections of literature and science, and interdisciplinary thinking stemming from her research into Constance Naden. She previously worked in research impact and student support roles at University College London and was the BAVS/BARS Nineteenth-Century Matters Fellow at Cardiff University in 2017-18.
