Martin Hewitt

Visiting Professor in the School of English, University of Leeds, and Research Associate in the School of Anthropology and Museum Ethnology, University of Oxford.
Martin’s current research interests include generations in the Victorian period, the sociology of authorship, and public lectures and lecturing. His most recent works include A Very Short Introduction. The Victorians (OUP, 2023), and Darwinism’s Generations. The Reception of Darwinian Evolution in Britain, 1859-1909 (OUP 2024).
