Samuel Saunders is a Senior Educational Developer in the Educational Development Team at the University of Liverpool. His research interests are centred on authentic assessment and pedagogy, decolonised authentic pedagogies, signature pedagogies in the humanities, responsible use of Generative AI in education, and multimodal curriculum design. He also writes on nineteenth-century crime fiction and print culture, and is the author of The Nineteenth Century Periodical Press and the Development of Detective Fiction (Routledge, 2021).
