I am a PhD student (KCL) researching the narrative implications of nineteenth-century cartographic innovation. Using George Eliot's literary realism as the driving case study, I am investigating engagement with tithe maps, geological maps, political reform maps, the O.S., infrastructural maps, and thematic maps such as the ethnographic map. I am also interested in map theory, politics of data collection and presentation methods more generally.
