Research Interests: My research interests are the experiences and lifestyles of Victorian and Edwardian rural societies, with a specific focus on social mobility and community well-being.

I am a keen advocate of the value to research of the District Valuation Survey, and this is central to my doctoral research, as it was to my Masters (by Research).
