Applications Open: PhD Programme at the University of Warwick
The Department of English and Comparative Literary Studies at the University of Warwick invites applications for October 2024 entry to our PhD programme in English and Comparative Literary Studies.
We offer a number of scholarship opportunities. International students are encouraged to apply for the Chancellor’s International Scholarship,[https://warwick.ac.uk/services/dc/schols_fund/scholarships_and_funding/cis/], with a deadline of 12 December 2023.
The University of Warwick is part of the Midlands4Cities (M4C) AHRC Doctoral Training Partnership. Successful applicants for PhD study can apply for these studentships, which are awarded on a competitive basis and require a team of two supervisors. All M4C awards cover fees and offer a maintenance grant (at the UKRI-set rate). UK and international students are eligible, and successfully international students also have no tuition costs. There is also additional funding from M4C available for engagement and research development and placements with M4C partner institutions.
An online annual M4C applications workshop for the Universities of Warwick and Coventry will take place on Saturday 18 November, online, 10.00-13.00 UK time. You can sign up here: https://warwick.ac.uk/fac/arts/cadre/.
M4C has also partnered with the Stuart Hall Foundation (SHF) Scholarship to support at least two studentships a year for Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic candidates to undertake doctoral research in arts and humanities across the M4C consortium.
