Following the ground-breaking publication of the special issue of Victorian Studies, ‘Undisciplining Victorian Studies’, this panel will introduce some of the research on race, identity, and the Victorian era that is already happening – but will explore, too, what Victorian scholars on both sides of the Atlantic can do to undiscipline the field and open it out to new avenues of research, and make it a more inclusive community.
Hosts: Carolyn Vellenga Berman, Joanna Taylor, and Adrian Wisnicki
Speakers: Zarena Aslami, Jennifer DeVere Brody, Shuchi Kapila, and Fariha Shaikh
